The Water Resources Department of Bihar has taken a unique initiative. The department has requested people to send complaints and suggestions regarding schemes with #HelloWRD on social media. The department will respond to complaints and suggestions received on social media every Saturday from 12 to 2 pm.
Department Secretary Chaitanya Prasad told that work is going on on several public welfare schemes. If people want any information related to these schemes, then they can directly ask questions on the social media of the department. This will help in bringing transparency in the functioning of the department. The department had earlier invited complaints on social media during Flood 2020 and also acted on the complaints received.
Prasad said that he wants to communicate with people through social media. It will also be helpful in the implementation of many schemes. During flood, the department will get timely information about erosion, breakage etc. and the problem will be solved in a timely manner.
